Hen hatching eggs

I have a silkie that is currently broody. I am not letting her sit on eggs right now. If I want her to hatch out some, do I need to break her of her current cycle or can I just let her go for it?

How soon do you want to have chicks? If you don't want chicks next month, then brake her broodiness. You can put he in a cage where air can circulate around and her body temp will lower. Then you can wait for the next time she goes broody. If you want her to hatch some eggs sooner, then let her sit in a few of them. Make sure to mark those eggs if she is with other laying hens, this way you can take out the new eggs.
