Hen hatching eggs.

Are mother hens able to sense or know when a chick is about to be born? I ask this because I have a older mom. and a new mom hatching her first batch. I notice that they get out everyday when I go and give them food so will they stop coming out or staying on eggs. Today is day 19 for them both so I wouldn’t want them to get up from their eggs.

They know how long they can be off the eggs, I don't put food in with the eggs, hens may see the eggs as food, just saying, hens also like to get off the eggs to poop.
