I put the girls to bed last night as usual, well they went to bed and I shut the door to the chicken run. I was standing to the left of the coop and heard the usual chatter from the coop, they always seem to have a 10 minute session of chat before going to sleep. When I heard the same noise to my left. One of the hybrids had gone to sleep in the corner of the garden. I wasn't sure why she didn't go into the big coop so for the night I put her in the side coop. Any ideas why she wanted to sleep outside?

More than likely the other hens beat her up. I have had the same thing happen to one of my hens and a rooster. They will run in a corner and hide their head or jump in a nest to hide.
