Hen honking like a goose

Our hen has started to honk like a goose in the morning. She will normally stop after laying an egg. She is REALLY noisy and we don't want the neighbors complaining. Any suggestions?

Give the neighbors ear plugs.

One of mine makes a loud cackle that sounds goose-ish. She usally stops once she gets a treat. The little begger. We have no neighbors close enough that would cause concern. If you are within your guidelines for keeping chickens and they haven't said anything to you ... don't worry.

Chickens will be chickens and her egg laying song seems to be a little off tune.
