I think if you installed OSB with a continuous bead of liquid nails on the bottom plate, top plate and studs, mites could not get in the cavities. Caulk the floor to OSB joint to keep them out of that crevice.
I thought I'd already replied to this but am not sure I did it right...lol. Anyway, thanks for sharing your knowledge. One question...with the liquid nails...are you gluing the OSB down then? Chickens won't peck at the caulking? Thank you.

Yes. The OSB will be glued to the studs. When they are screwed down, it will form a seal that the mites won't be and to get past.
If you use an exterior grade caulk and tool it with your finger after it's applied and it is fully cured, the chickens won't peck at it.
