Raccoon strike a couple weeks ago took out what I feared was an eye and a beak. But she kept the eye and has enough beak to eat small seed and mealworms. For now I mash chicken feed pellets with water for her.
Her eating, defecation, normal chicken sounds, wanting to be with the flock, even following me around, all get better every day.
It's the way she moves that's the concern. She walks, frankly, as if she is in a sitting position. Then she will just sit or lay down for a while. Her tail is always down, but like I said, she is defecating fine.
Has anyone seen or heard of this?
