I have a White Leghorn hen and a White Leghorn rooster, both nearing 4 months of age. She hasn't laid an egg yet. Recently, my hen has been panting and breathing hard even though it's not hot and there's nothing to stress her out. She's not dehydrated and has been like this for a week or so. I've also noticed she pecks a lot more than she normally does. She tends to hold her wings away from herself, lays on her side, and sometimes closes only her left eye. Is something wrong with her?

Welcome to BYC.
What is your actually weather temps?

She could be about to start laying and is kinda "freaking" out.
I'd just keep her with fresh cool water and make sure she is eating and drinking well for now.
How does her poop look?

Her poop is looking normal. Her drinking habits haven't changed and she eats a bit more than usual

All good signs.
If her poop is normal and she eats and drinks fine, she is either just hot or nervous.
I wouldn't worry about her unless one of those three things change.

You may want to pick up some Nutri Drench or some other electrolytes to add to their water ever now and then during the really hot months.
