Hen is brooding 11 eggs whilst raising 5 that are 5 weeks old!

Hi, my Sussex Black bottom hen has laid 11 eggs behind her crate after she hatched 5 chicks 6 weeks ago - is this normal?

Is she actually setting or did she just lay them there? 5-6 weeks is when she wears the chicks, so she could be broody again.

Unfortunately she could be broody again. If you are not wanting any more chicks or would like her to take a break and recover from being a mom, you could break her.
