Hen is in a bad way. Need advice PLEASE.

syringe and small amounts at a time
Be very careful if you do it this way as it's very easy to stress them out and the risk of aspiration is high. To properly hydrate a bird it needs 30ml per 2.2 pounds every 6-8 hours, this is almost impossible to do with just a syringe.

Yes she is in my living room with heating pad, my lap or heater in a cushy tote. Rotten lil girl :) love my hens! I actually did do the hydration correctly today! I had a jar and figured 2 oz every 4 hrs like a baby. She hates me and the syringe, but I want her better. I sprayed her under the wings, butt and neck with promethrin mixture too. Her crop is bubbled out from the water and her eating lol. Poor Marilyn...Thanks everyone for your support and advice. Will get a tube tomorrow. My friend is a pharmacist. I have a stash bec I am a home care nurse but no tubes like thatlol

Size 18 french works best for water and baby bird food.
