Hen is laying eggs but won't sit on them.

Now our crochin banny hen just lays her eggs all over the place. We had to start being careful where we walk in the coop cause she layed one egg friday in the middle of the path to walk in. She still won't sit on any of them. Should we collect them and put them together in one spot. I don't think that our rooster has any idea whats going on.
