Hen is not laying

I have a hen that that is about 9 months old. For the past month or so she has been doing the egg dance when I approach her and her face is as red as can be. She also goes in the nesting box, lays down as if she is gong to lay an egg for a good half hour, but never lays an egg. Like I said, this has been going on for about a month now.

Any idea what's going on with her? My wife keeps saying she's an eggless hen. Is that even a possibility?
