Hen is sevearly egg bound, please help!

1 yr old Couku Merans hen is egg bound. I think it is her First pullet egg. She is lathargic, laboring to breathe, eyes closed, hasnt pooped, is flexing her bum constently with a downwerd pointed tail. Her comb is a vivid red and her vent is bright and healthy. I can feel the egg, it isnt very large. Please give me some ideas about what to do, i dont want to lose this sweet little girl.

You can try giving her a warm bath. That will help relax her and hopefully she'll pass the egg.

She is sitting in the sink in warm water right now. She is breathing so hard
When i first put her in she wanted nothing to do with it, they she just sank down and is chilling in it. I read that i may have to inject a lubrecant into get Valve...what will work other then KY jelly?

Vaseline or olive oil.....also when you get her out of the soak, put her on a heating pad covered with a thick towel in a nice quiet place, then soak her again in an hour again if you still don't see nothing, Be sure to dry her after she gets out of the soak blow dryer on low heating pad on low also.

we dont have any heating pads, what could be used in its place?

Do you have any waterbottles? Like they use to put on foreheads? If not throw a few towels into the dryer for a few.. They should be nice and warm for her.

Water bottles towels warmed in the dryer, anything like that, also if you have tums you can melt it in some warm water and feed that to her.

It should help, too, if it is a bit darkened where she is, once you get her dried off. The idea is to get her to relax or even sleep. Something like a towel partly covering a dog cage, or a bathtub with the room fairly dark. You could put warm water in ziploc bags if nothing else is around.
