Hen is squatting while walking, maybe limping?

Hi,

My bottom-of-the pecking-order Barrred Rock hen seems to be squatting while she walks. I don't notice it all the time. She had a couple of mating injuries near her hips (the roos are now de-spurred). She looks like she is sitting into her hip as she walks. No obvious pain.

Are they prone to weight bearing injuries? She gets free choice layer feed and oyster shell. Seems to be eating fine.

how old is she? has she started laying yet? do you think she's preparing to lay? perhaps she's egg bound. I would pick her up and do a once or twice over to check for any harder to find injuries. maybe she has a sprain? if she's still eating and seems normal otherwise i wouldn't worry too much just keep her on your radar in case things get worse. maybe a warm bath to soak her bottom would help.
