Hen layed egg while on roost

How do I fix this problem!?

This is fairly common with newer laying hens, and occasionally it happens with an older hen. Maybe she was holding the egg and either couldn't get the nest she wanted or was being pushed around by another. She should get the hang of it.

It was her first day in a new coop and she just started laying.

Just put a fake egg or golf ball in your nest boxes, and eventually she'll get the message.
