hen loosing weight when laying eggs

hello i have a 8 months hen that started laying eggs 3 month ago . she is the kind of chicken that lay eggs everyday and goes broody after like 20 days of laying . the problem is my hen have normal weight when she not laying eggs (after hatching eggs) and lose weight when she starts laying. she does not show signs of sickness at all . does someone knows what is happening?

It takes a lot of protein and calories and calcium to make eggs. If those nutrients aren't supplied in her feed, a hen will draw down her body's reserves to supply them. So you need to examine her feed and her food intake.

If she is mainly free-ranging, she may not be getting the calories and protein she requires.
