Hen losing feathers, Help!

I have a hen who is 13 months old. During the last 2 weeks I have noticed she is losing feathers all over her body. I noticed the feathers around her bottom are growing back in. Not sure if she is still laying eggs either since I have another hen who lays as well. Today I noticed she had almost clear diarrhea with a little white mixed in it. Nothing like the normal droppings.

She does not appear to be acting any differently than normal. She is eating and wondering around as usual.

Is the feather loss normal? I live in Florida and the weather has been about 88 lately which is actually cooler than the last 3 months.

Probaly just molting... but I have never had a molting chickens so i wouldnt really know

I think your hen is molting, it is completely normal. Chickens usually molt once a year and stop laying eggswhen this happens.

Sounds like she is moulting, which is normal, and the fact that new feathers are growing in is good.

But- the clear/white watery poop may mean something else is wrong. If it lasts for more than a few days I'd be concerned.

There are a pllethora of "normal" droppings. There is actually a chicken poo chart youu can look at. There are hundreds of pictures of normal poops.

I Might just be a molt.
