there turning 2 March 1st. She's an Austraorpand lays eggs. I could have seen wrong. I did a glance and thought I saw her (blackbird) on top of my white rooster. Could have been in my head.

With living animals any thing can happen, however strange it is. Did she grab the back of his head and touch vents? If she didn't that wasn't really mating, who knows what that was.

That's not unusual when you have a mature hen and an immature cockerel. She is just showing that she is dominant over him. But a 2 year old boy should not be that immature still. Really strange but believable.

I could have imagined it but it seemed like she mated him but also could have been him on top of her and I just saw wrong. I was doing something while I glanced over. But my flock is very werid so I wouldnt expect anything less
