I have a dominique that I thought was molting--but she is not. Something is wrong! She is just over a year old, and her feathers on the back of her neck came out but it looked like she was getting her feathers back in, so I didn't worry to much. This started back in June. I kept watching her but her feathers weren't hetting any longer, and she keeps shedding. I went on vacation and now she looks worse. She is very thin. she has lost color on her crown and waddles. She has been sleeping by herself perched on the edge of a nest box. she is always in the back of the group (loner). I assumed she was the low chick in the group and might have been picked on, but I couldn't find any evidence. She stands with her head back in her shoulders. I brought her in the house yesterday. She is in a dog cage on the dining room table so that I can watch her. I have gotten her to eat a couple bites of canned cat food, but I haven't seen her drink. Her poop is small and dark green with little moisture, and then she will have a very wet one that is yellowish-white, kinda slimy. I have 14 other 1 year old hens, and 2 -10 week olds, None of the other birds are acting sick or look sick, nor are they losing feathers.
Does any body have any ideas of what might be wrong, or how to treat?
Please help, if you can.
