I would leave the oyster shell on the side of her food. When they aren't laying, they don't need it and it can interfere with absorption of other nutrients they need more.
Oh- did'nt know that...... I will leave the oyster shell out and just put a small bowl next to her. Today she ate part of a chicken sandwich and is munching away on a bird seed mix the chicken guy at the farm store made her- a mix of pigeon mix and wild bird seed!
Oh- crop still seems empty even though I have watched her eat. missychicky says that it is possible she is so hungry it is going straight to her stomach? And Yeah! her poops are bigger and more normal! ( never thought I would say that...)
thanks for helping us- she is not "out of the woods" but she seems to be doing better.
