I hear ya, but any vet should have it.

But unless I drive 25 miles, there is not another one, and by the time I am off work, they will be closed anyway.

You could also use a small diameter automotive tubing or aquarium air hose. If you could get either of those, I could help you through this.

I have a 5ml syringe (no needle). I may have to see what I can do with that. Unfortunatly work doesn't allow for Chicken "sick days".

Good news, I guess. I saw her drinking on her own when I got home from work today. However, I have not been able to coax her to eat anything. She will scratch the shavings with her beak like she is looking for something and then sit down and close her eyes.

Saw her poo a couple of times and it is still pale green and watery. Her crop now feels like a tiny water baloon.

Still not eating this morning. She perks up when I pick her up and has enough energy to shake her head when I try to rub food on her beak to coax her to eat and enough energy to struggle to be let down when she is done with me. Water level is going down but don't know how much she is drinking and how much is evaporation. Still open to suggestions and casportpony I may be calling you tomorrow on my day off to see about the tube feeding. I wont' call until I have all my stuff together.

castport thanks for your support. I read and re-read the links you provided and gathered and prepared to tube feed last night and it did not go well for me. I finally gave up because she was so tiny and I was afraid I was hurting her more by trying to hold her still enough to put the tube down. I think I would have been too late anyway, she passed away this morning. She will be missed.
