we had a stray dog attack our entire flock about a month ago. Only two survived. One of our roosters (falcon) and one barred rock hen (Matheus). Marheus had her back ripped open and a deep puncture on her back. We thought she was dead but she regained herself surprisingly. Now ever since then, Matheus has acted very strange. As in if you call her, she turns her head completely upside down to look at you, she doesn’t act like a normal chicken anymore. She acts like a puppy which is very weird. She wants to be held, she follows you and literally acts depressed when you leave her. She has completely healed but has not layed any eggs since the attack. She is about 1 1/2 old. We are keeping her regardless if she lays or not but just want to know if she will or why she can’t lay eggs.
