Mine eat it very well, but I went from chick starter to flock raiser, so they are used to crumbles.
I keep it available 24/7 in a hanging feeder in the coop, but they absolutely love it "wet", a lot of times I use this as a "treat". I mix some with warm water - a little at a time to the consistency of thick oatmeal and put it on a large plate. I give this to them in the run, they think I have made something special for them
I only mix enough that can be eaten within a short time (usually lasts about 15mins) mine are piglets sometimes.
BTW continue to give the oyster shell free choice, they will need that.
