Hi! I post in this section all the time and know a lot about diseases and such but I need your opinion on something. So, the past few days I noticed a lot of feathers in coop and run from one of my Mille Fleur d'Uccles. But for the life of me, I could not figure out which chicken they were from! So this morning, I went in the coop and I found which chicken it was. One of my Mille Fleur d'Uccles was missing almost all of her tail feathers and feathers all over the body. She could barely open her eyes. I picked her up and she seemed very frail and thin (although she has always been thin). She seems to be very listless and weak. I'm thinking she is going through a bad molt (she is 18 months). I thought I would post and ask, just to make sure she does not have a disease. She has been very healthy in the past so it is kinda strange. Our chickens in the past never looked sick when they molted...

Advice & opinion appreciated!

Have you added any new chickens latley? Sometimes new chickens can bring diseases to the flock. It could be a bad molt but it is most likley a disease based on that she couldnt even open her eyes. I would suggest taking her out of the flock for a while and having her under warmth, lots of water and food, and close attention.

No new birds...so yeah. I'm gonna check on her again and see how she is doing.
