Hen Not Pooping!

Hi, I came across this thread when looking up a similar problem. I have a hen that is hunched up and hardly moving. She came alive when I fed the flock meal worms but after she just went back to standing still. I've taken her into my house and bathed her (she had a poopy bottom). She's eating small amounts and has even made a cooing sound but mostly she just stays still.

Help please!
I have a hen that had sticky bottom that I had not noticed. She probably had it for at least 2 days. I unclogged her and kept an eye on her, she is not pooping and is eating very little. I grabbed her and felt her abdomen it felt very full. I am afraid that there might be an egg stuck in her vent but I have not checked yet.
Please help!
I have same problem with a hen

I felt about the length of my pinky finger.
I used coconut oil as a lubricant.
She is not standing like a penguin, and she does not seem to be straining to poop, she had not played ant eggs for some time.
I tried to drain her and I did not get much out, but when I stopped she released a poop that was much larger than the squirts that she usually does.

Make a new thread in the emergency section so we can better help you.

No worries! I just thought it would be easier to help you in a separate post dedicated to your chicken.

In the top banner at the website you should see brown boxes with different categories like: Forums, What's new, Articles, etc. If on mobile version you might see three lines in the top left and there you will see the said categories.

Click on the "Forums" one and you should see near the top right area "post thread." Then, pick the Emergencies/Diseases/Injuries and Cures category, and there you should be able to make a title and a post. :welcome
