Found our little squirt laying in the coop this morning, not wanting to use her right leg.

All I can find on her leg is a small scrape, not really bleeding. She just keeps the foot curled up and limp. Can't feel any breaks or dislocations, and she doesn't fight me when I move the leg around.
I've put her in a dog kennel with food and water. Now what?

Does she have scaly leg mites and/or bumblefoot? Is there any swelling in the leg? If the answer is no to these questions, most likely it's a sprain. You could soak her leg in warm epsom salts water for about 20 minutes. Then seperate her, provide her with feed and water. She will need plenty of rest and relaxation til the leg heals. Vitamin B complex crushed tablet sprinkled in her feed may help.

Look on the bottom of her feet. If you see a dark in color round scab, that is bumblefoot. If her footpad looks swollen, is hot to the touch or red...you'll need to do minor surgery. The toes can have it as well.

So after letting her rest for the day, her foot is a bit swollen and slightly red. Looks like the scrape is a little inflamed. I don't see any scab on her foot at all. I soaked her in some warm water and treated her to a raspberry (kinda like a sucker from the doctor). I'm going to try the blow dryer to dry her off, and keep her in the house tonight as we are supposed to be in the teens brr! Any other advise? (thanks for the help thus far!)
