Hen not using nesting box

My hen is not using her nesting box for eggs and I keep having to gather them to put it in the nesting box, should I just leave her eggs where she deposits them? My plan is to let her set on her clutch of eggs and hopefully have chicks but I was wondering if I keep moving them and putting it in the nesting box, maybe she won't set there?

Does your hen go broody often? Are you sure she is broody? Just because she lays eggs in a certain place does not guarantee that she will go broody and want to hatch eggs. Many breeds of chickens never or very seldom ever go broody. If you want her to lay in the nesting box then you need to make the place she is now laying not so attractive. Cover the area. Block it off. Put something there that she won't like. Put some fake eggs in the nesting box. Then she might lay there.
