Our leghorn has not been doing well lately. She is still laying eggs and eating and drinking but stays inside and does not seem to be able to walk very well. We have inspected her for injury but seems to be fine. Any suggestions??

Just went out to visit her and she is sitting inside of the coop with her left wing stretched out. Also, her comb seems to have some discoloration on the tips.. seems faded and one tip is black. Does all of this mean anything to anyone? Thanks!

I'm not going to be able to help you because it is not something i have dealt with "yet"
but i hope she starts feeling better soon

someone will know what this is and help you

Try giving her some Vitamin D and E. Get some of her food, wet it down to make a mush, puncture a Vit D capsule with a pin and put a drop in her food. Then feed this to her.

I had a similar problem with my hen and this was suggested and it worked. It's been a hard winter for many people and chickens alike.

Good luck, Mary
