Hi, I have a 15 month-old hen Quail Antwerp Belgian bantam that suddenly can not walk correctly. She is part of my 12 hens-only flock I purchased as day-olds from Murray McMurray. My girls have been super fat and healthy. This is the first trouble of any kind, and none of the other chickens seem affected.
Shadow (the sick one) can stand if forced, and walk, stumbling like a drunkard, but she just wants to lay down. This not like her at all. Her eyes look normal, dark and bright. She is eating and drinking. There is no external sign of injury. Her feet look normal. She is a good layer and very tame.
Any ideas what might be wrong with her?
