hen on nest

I have a young hen thathas beenlaying about 2 months. Allof a sudden she decided to just stay on thatnest. I have one other chicken which was supposed to be a hen but she doesn't lay eggs and she is really strange. I think she thinks she is a rooster!! How long will that young hen stay on that nest when the eggs are not fertile?
