My Hen is being treated for Bumblefoot, I took her to the vets and she is getting Antibiotics. She seemed much better and her bumblefoot has almost cleared up. But when I was putting the antibiotics into her beak, I had her on my lap in a towel. She opened her mouth wide and I poured in the medicine through a little syringe, but of course without the needle. She has done this many times. So, all of the medicine went into her mouth with her beak wide open, I wasn't holding her beak or anything. Then she started opening her beak really quite wide, then closing it, moving her tongue like she had something stuck. The antibiotics is quite sticky, is it possible she just has it stuck on her tongue?

Help would be well appreciated

Thanks!

If you just squirted it into the front of the beak, chances are good that you got some into her lungs. There is a small hole/passage way into the lungs just behind the tongue, you should always make sure you syringe past that.
