I think it's a cockerel.

I suspect cockerel due to the size/color of the wattles, but I could be wrong. Keep an eye out for saddle feathers in the coming weeks.

I would wait longer until the male specific feathering comes in or doesnt before making a final choice. Wyandottes tend to pink up early and have their wattles grow early as well. This variety stumps me usually but I am saying a very tentative pullet right now.
Cockerels tend to have non laced feathers on the back of their neck and this chick doesnt seem to have that. Do you by chance have photos of this chick at around 6-8 weeks of age?

I do not... I got it about 2wks ago.

My vote goes for cockerel

Wattles that big and that bright make me think cockerel. Also, the lacing seems uneven over the shoulders which is another cockerel trait.
