16 week old blue partridge. I really thought she was a boy for the longest time. I'm actually disappointed because I really want a blue partridge cockerel for breeding. 2 years and haven't got one yet

Funny cause I'm wanting blue partridge hens to go with my blue partridge showgirl boy I haven't been able to hatch in ages though, too many extra boys around I need to move on beforehand. I hope you get a boy soon, I love seeing your birds and I think I've become very partial to the blue partridges.

I’m new here and just got my first three girls a couple days ago. I’m already in love with them. So much fun. Silver one is Spring and she is 4 months old. Black one is Winter and Partridge is Summer. They are 3 months old.
Named by my granddaughter Autumn. lol.

Excitedly still here! I just ordered our first Silkie hatching eggs from a breeder with gorgeous stock. She seems so nice too! They’ll ship out Monday. I can’t wait!

So you breed to get specific traits, correct?

Well, I was wanting silver partridge to breed. But the silver just somehow didn't show up in any of General Lee's offspring. Now It's popping up generations later.. Not ever sure General Lee is in the tree at this point.

"Gorgeous" isn't strong enough! I know only the bare minimum about SOP Silkies so my "official" opinion doesn't really count ... but I LOVE that comb & crest!

How about, Blue hen, Black daddy(Grrr on the comb)... O.O where'd the white chick come from?

The NN is from Nube who's in another pen..I let this hen raise some babies I hatched inside because her eggs were failing.. after raising those tots, she went broody and hatched 8/8 of her own eggs.. there's also a little cream colored one in the bunch.

This guy is too dark but has a wonderful temperament. He's an F2 but just doesn't look it, especially with that big crest
