Hen or Roo and what mixed breed is my little black one

For my Big bird is it a hen or Roo and the 2nd pic is my Wednesday but I am not sure what mixed breed she is, she has a puff on her head, black feet and beak, feet have feathers, 4 toes,smooth texture not fluffy, i am thinking polish/onyx?

I'm thinking Roo for the 1st.. I can't see the face fully does it have wattles? Behavior? Bossy?
2 is there any possibility to Copper Marans being in the mix?

With that much comb, start watching for those pointy, skinny saddle feathers of the big bird. They're going to start popping through and time. He's gorgeous.

The little one, nothing to indicate either way yet.

Am I seeing a crest (small) on both of them? If so, I'm thinking a bit of Polish (silver laced on him). The V-comb of the Polish (and a few others) does wonky things when crossed with other combs.

The younger one also the Polish for part (crest size indicates neither is pure Polish). I'm speculating White Crested Black in this one as it's an aspect of the mottling gene which hides. I think that one has the black split to mottled going on, which will cover pretty much every other color. The mottling can bleed through in adult moults, and so can color from the other parent, but can also stay hidden. There's still some juvenile moults to get through, so more changes yet. Gender seems pullet for now.

In the first picture I see a cockerel.

The second picture does not show the bird properly. Please post some more where feet, face and posture can be seen.
