Okay, don't jump to conclusions, Buffs hens can have combs that are a little larger. Is the bird dominant over hens? Do you have another rooster. If not, your bird will crow if a rooster.

Well, it has been about 2 months from the original post. Send us a new picture please. The mystery of pullet/ cockrel is interesting and a bit fun, but a pain if you end up with unwanted Roosters.
