Hen or roo?

Hi. I have a juvenile barred Plymouth Rock. Is this a roo or a hen? I'm new to the backyard chicken experience. In fact, we got 13 chickens from my sons 1st grade class and were told they were bantams. Pretty sure we have two Easter eggers, two

That is a tough one. The comb tells me it's a cockerel but the dark barring tells me it's a pullet. How old is it?
