One of our 6 week old Buff Orpington chick has developed a large comb :(, we cannot keep it if it's a Rooster .

I'm still holding out hope that it will be a hen , we love our BO's.

Thank you .

A large comb doesn't necessarily mean that it's a rooster. Do you know the breed?

I am so sorry , yes BO= Buff Orpington, she is 6 weeks old. We are crossing our fingers that she's just maturing quicker than the others.

I think Orpingtons get their comb large and early. I have a little Lavender that has a comb at 3-4 weeks. Hoping for a hen.
