Hen or Roo?

I have been raising 8 chickens with the intent of giving half to my sister (she'll add the 4 I give her to her existing flock of hens). I want to be sure I keep 4 confirmed hens for myself, but I'm not sure on a couple. THEY WILL BE 8 WEEKS OLD IN A FEW DAYS. One in question is a slower developing Australorp who has taken much longer to develop all it's feathers. The other are the Barred Rocks....One developed a comb the second week & seemed to be pushy with the rest of the flock. Currently its comb doesn't seem too large & isn't yet red in color & the behavior has subsided. The other barred rock doesn't seem to have tail feathers & though there's no comb growing upright, the comb "area" seems wide & red (almost looks like it might be a pea comb, but I don't think that happens with Barred Rocks).....Any help is appreciated

If you ask me, I'm seeing a bunch of pretty pullets.

Your last chook is a Dominique, due to apparent lack of a single comb.

Interesting, the two striped were ordered as Barred Rock....might the hatchery have made an oops? do they look the same as chicks too?

The hatchery most likely made a mistake, Yes, they look exactly the same when they're chicks

If some of the pullets are noticeably smaller despite that they are the exact age of the others, is it a safe assumption that they'll catch up in size? Or will they stay on the small side?

They can stay small its rare uniform size I think in my experiences all my smallest hens are the pluckiest, bravest of them all! ​
