I bought 2 straight run black copper Marans from the feed store and although I am positive one is a black copper Maran rooster, the other I believe is a golden laced Wyandotte ( based on internet photos). I don’t know, however, if it is a hen or rooster. I bought them as chicks on March 29th so they are 4 months old. The comb and wattle have been large and red for about 6-8 weeks now but no eggs and no crowing. The rooster has been crowing for about 4 weeks now and he is the same age. Can anyone tell if this is a hen or rooster?

Agreed, that's a cockerel. He's probably not crowing because he's not the dominant male. The dominant male will thrash any subordinates for crowing. Crowing is a way to claim territory and females... And you don't crow or claim what's not yours. Not without a thrashing.

Thanks, does it just take a lot longer for a GLW to start crowing?
As @Frazzemrat1 has already pointed out, subordinate cockerels don't crow. There are consequences they don't want to deal with. I also ended up with an unexpected extra cockerel. I rehomed the dominant (but very friendly) cockerel. The very next day, the subordinate male started to crow.
