Sorry, auto-correct, it keeps correcting that word for some reason. To me her crest feathers just look dirty, and Polish pullets/hens have bright red 'wattles' and combs. Chickens have wattles - ducks waddle. Look at the OP's other thread for better pictures.
Polish pullets at this age shouldn’t have a visible, large comb, nor should their wattles be that huge and red. Even my year old girls don’t have combs like that, and their wattles aren’t as large.Good catch! I agree, didn’t realize this was an older birdI'd like to see a profile picture, but that looks like a pullet/hen to me. From that picture I see no male specific feathering.
Hmm, okay. I also thought it was a chicken of a younger age, and I didn’t see the other threads. Sorry, you got it right! She is quite the gorgeous, developed hen.Body type is 100 % feminine, and OP is getting 2 eggs a day. They are 20 months old and both are laying. A very good friend of mine raised and showed White Crested Black Polish, and they had very evident wattles and combs at that age. Look at OP's other thread - both birds have combs and wattles that are that large.
It’s not an older bird. It is around 20 weeks old.Good catch! I agree, didn’t realize this was an older bird![]()
Old enough to get male saddles, if male. It’s not an older bird. It is around 20 weeks old.
