I live in Wake Forest, North Carolina and am allowed to have 10 hens but no roosters. I fell in love with these two bantam chicks at Tractor Supply and brought them home when I got my two Leghorns and 2 Rhode Island Reds. My husband is convinced that my Bantams are roosters and I think I may be in denial about my babies. They look like a rooster and now they sort of sound like a rooster so would love to get some confirmation from somebody with a little more experience than the two of us. Here are my babies. Fortunately, if they are roosters, we do have some lovely friends who will take them but I have grown quite attached to my new flock in the three months that I've had them. Would also love to know the variety...I've looked at several breeds here and all over the internet and they resemble several different breeds that I've seen. Thanks for any information you can share! Also have a video of that "noise" they make...my black bantam has been making this noise for a little over a week and my lighter bantam just started yesterday...
