Well thank you everyone .. I guess not getting my chicks from local person anymore I got 8 and 4 out of them are Roos. Now I have no Easter egger hens for colored eggs that we were looking forward to. Is there a way to get pullets online or something so you know for sure your gonna end up with hens?? I really want laying Easter eggers.

If you bought them from someone local, then you bought unsexed 'straight run' chicks. 50% ratio between girls and boys is actually pretty decent. You can order Easter Eggers from most big hatcheries, but they are advertised as Ameraucana, Araucana, or Americauna. Hatchery sexing claims to be 90% accurate, but it's usually closer to 75% accurate for Easter Eggers.

Ordering 'point of lay' pullets will kill you on the shipping, but it can be done.

If you bought 'straight run chicks', you got what you paid for.
If you bought 'pullet chicks', then you got gyped and you should complain to the seller.
Either way, maybe go back to your local person and ask if they have any EE pullets for sale.
