Ok, thanks. I’ve been seeing things about wing shape and color of the comb so it had me wondering. I hatched out 4 chicks and I’m afraid they’re all cockerels based on things I’ve read lol. I don’t even want to attempt vent sexing or whatever because I KNOW I’m not qualified for thatYes, it's a pullet or cockerel, but right now it is far too young to tell.
They're too old to vent sex now. You'll have to wait until they're at least 4 weeks old. Look for comb and wattle development. Males develop faster than the females so if you start seeing red it's most likely a cockerel. Fast or low feathering, wing shape, and behavior won't be good indicators of sex at this time. Feel free to post some new pictures in a few weeks.Ok, thanks. I’ve been seeing things about wing shape and color of the comb so it had me wondering.
