OP- The bird is a little young at 5-6 weeks to tell, especially for this breed. My slightly educated guess it a pullet, but EE are really hard to tell! Looks like my girls though, but yours coloring is darker- love it! Good luck, might have to wait a couple of weeks though!
Second poster- that sure looks like a cockerel to me. The comb and feathers seem very roo-like, but as has been said some breeds are impossible to tell until you are greeted in the morning by a cocka-doodle-doo! Check the article posted and good luck!
