Hello. I have what I think maybe a golden Campine chicken. From what I've gathered from Internet searches, it can be hard to between rooster or hen with this breed under 40 weeks old. I don't know a lot at all about chickens. It just showed up at my back door one day and hasn't left and has very much grown on me and I would like to know more if anyone could please tell me more

Definitely a hen, but not a Campine. [IMG] I'm afraid I can't help with breed since I can't think of any that fit those characteristics. But maybe a mix of some sort?

Is there any way of telling how old a chicken might be just by looking?

Is she tiny? She looks like our Wheaten Old English Game bantam, Sunflower.

If it's your avatar, it's a wheaten game hen.

link wouldn't work for me either but, I am thinking the avatar may be the bird. How long have you had this bird? If it hasn't tried to crow yet, I would imagine it is a pullet.
