I have an Easter Egger chicken that just started crowing. This morning is the first time I noticed, anyway. He or she is about six months old. I got all of my Easter Eggers at six weeks old and they were all supposed to be hens. I have noticed that this one looks a little different from the others but the difference wasn't too noticeable so I thought nothing of it until I heard it crowing this morning. I've heard that hens can start crowing if there's no rooster in the flock so I thought I'd get everyone's advice here. Any help is appreciated!
Hens go broody when you don’t want them to… and won’t go broody when you do.
