That one has started laying! Yay! But this one has not. The other two I got at the same time have started to at and will squat when I try to pet them. This one (picture below) still ducks and runs when I try to pet it. And I was wondering about the curvy tail feathers. Very different from my other girls.

Congrats on the egg! That looks like a pullet too. Sometimes the sickle feathers are a giveaway, but I prefer to look for pointy saddle feathers. Pullets have funky tail feathers sometimes. This one looks like she is seriously considering starting to lay, she won't be far behind your other.

I found a broken egg in one of the boxes and it had a thin shell. Could that have been from one of my new girls? All the other eggs had strong shells.
