Hen or Rooster?

Will try many things before the culling. Might release it into the wild. Thank you for all the replies
Not sure that is the best idea really. It is a domestic bird, bred for centuries to be reliant on humans. It's like dumping a dog or cat on the street and hoping they just fend for themselves when in reality they will die horribly.

Well yes, I agree, but I have to admit that I have personally considered releasing to the wild, but their only fate with that (in my area) is a fox or coyote dinner... BUT...some people live In free range chicken world.

It's a cockerel, and please don't release him into the wild. He is a domestic bird and he doesn't know how to survive in the wild. He will be food for a predator in no time. If you can't keep him, then give him away.
