Hen or Rooster?

What breed is it? May we have another picture of the face/comb and another of the body? From that picture it looks like a roo because of all the barring. Thanks.

barred cochin but other than that cant tell. how old is it? leaning towards cockerel/rooster with the barring the way it is

It's somewhere around a year old

I'm saying pullet. If its somewhere near a year old you at least see sickle feathers from that picture by now. My barred Cochin girls barring was not super dark (as compared to to a BR or Dom), and the boys were VERY light. My Cochin boys also had really large combs, which would also be visiable from this back shot. Cochins take a very long time to mature, some of my hens didn't lay until they were over a year old, and mine were hatched in Feb. Good luck.
