Hen or rooster??

We were just given two chickens from a friend, who does talks about keeping chickens and shows them. They are a light Sussex and an australorp. They are 25 weeks and the australorp's comb looks more developed. We already have a rooster so we can't have another one. Please help. Thanks

At 25 weeks she should be laying I think.
Kinda hard to tell from the pics but she looks just like my BA hen. BAs have a fairly developed comb. As a side note I have two same age Cuckoo Marans - when they were growing up I swore one was a rooster - the other one had nearly no comb but this one had a big red comb at an early age...she still does. And the other one has almost no comb still.

They look like girls to me, and the black one should be laying w/ that comb (or just about to start)
