Can we all agree no one should pronounce it as “Peek in”?

I usually say puh-cawn, but I'll almost just as often use pea-can and pea-cawn!
Similarly, I'll swap around with all manners of "caramel" and even "syrup".

I voted puh-cawn cause that’s closest to what I say. Generally I say more like peh-cawn though.
